Casa do Alemão

Some restaurants are known for their excellent full-plate meals. Casa do Alemão, on the other hand, takes pride on being Rio's best snack destination. They have a nicely stocked bar, of course, with the standard beers and liquors that you'd expect. However, what everyone talks about are the snack food items. Especially good are the bread, sausage and meat croquettes; the linguica; and the specialty sandwiches. There are others, too, but the menu changes constantly, so ask the staff for their suggestions.
